The Astha
Children Care Home has mainly four Components
Residential
Facilities
Astha Children Care Home offers
a residential place to the children with high safety
standards, clean and homely environment, healthy, nutritious
and hygienic food and suitable accommodation.
In order to provide the residential
facilities, the home has hired a three storey building
with sufficient rooms. Two maids to look after cleanliness
of the rooms, beds, dresses, and the home. Cooks are
accompanied by helpers to prepare food and distribute
to the children in a proper time. A room is equipped
with a television, a DVD player and a music system to
listen and watch news, sports and get entertained. Three
security guards are placed so as to keep security system
intact.
Child
Development Center
In
order to foster full and harmonious development of children,
a Child Development Center is established under the
‘Astha Children Care Home’. It has already
set up a children resource centre with various fiction
and non-fiction books. The centre has a common reading
room so that children can share their learning among
each other.
Two trained teachers are recruited
to assist the children in their homework, provide counseling
and moral lessons. Indoor games like chess, badminton,
carom board, table tennis etc. are in place to develop
their creativity. The children are encouraged with outdoor
games like football, cricket and basketball to promote
physical fitness. The quiz contest, debate competition,
field trip, documentary and movie show are periodically
held for their mental development.
Medical
Check Up
Healthy children can only be
productive and capable of building a better career.
With due focus in preventive and curative health care
facilities are also provided.
A
regular staff nurse looks after the health of the children.
She provides first-aid and nursing services to the children.
A medical doctor examines children once every week.
Astha
Bal Udhyan Park
‘Astha Bal Udhyan Park’
is constructed in front of the Astha Children Care Home
by the organization. The park has added the cleanliness
and beauty of the environment. The park is constructed
in formerly the public-waste land. It has presently
increased the importance of the
surrounding.
